"As an attorney in litigation firms, I repeatedly saw how parties would become exhausted, frustrated and disenchanted with the adversarial process.   Many cases ultimately settled 'on the courthouse steps' the day of trial, but not before both parties had spent significant funds and suffered anxiety and anger battling each other. Litigation may be necessary in those cases where parties are absolutely opposed and simply can't reach an agreement, or in certain cases where the Court's intervention is required for the physical or emotional protection of a party or the parties' children. Nevertheless, I believe the majority of family law matters can be successfully resolved between the parties with the assistance of a compassionate, thorough and skilled mediator.  I am glad that I can offer my dual experience as a family law specialist and mediator as a tool to help parties reach accord. "I believe your mediator should help you maintain family harmony as much as possible while assisting you with your divorce, or other family law matter, in a cost-effective manner.  I listen, and when appropriate, can answer your questions regarding family law issues. My goal is to help parties amicably and satisfactorily resolve what can be difficult or painful matters while avoiding the adversarial process."
